Mahogany high chest with broken-scroll pediment with carved rosettes; fluted quarter columns at corners; cabriole legs with claw-and-ball feet. Finials and much of the ornamentation from the pediment are missing.

Apprenticed as a cabinetmaker in Edinburgh and London, Thomas Affleck emigrated to Philadelphia in 1763. His clients included wealthy Philadelphians, some of them fellow Quakers.
